SLO County 4-H All Stars Pay a Visit to Our Local Leaders During National 4-H Week

On Tuesday, October 7th, 2008, the new 2008-2009 SLO County 4-H All Stars Claire Edmonds, Dagmar Derickson, and I, Daniika Viborg, attended the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors meeting. We asked the board to acknowledge National 4-H Week and to fly the 4-H flag at the Government Center in San Luis Obispo. Everything went smoothly and the supervisors presented us with a resolution recognizing National 4-H Week and commending all of the 4-H members in our area for their hard work. Supervisor Patterson also shared some of his own 4-H experiences with the assembled group. We finished the meeting with the 4-H pledge and it's meaning.

To further recognize National 4-H Week, a display was showcased in the lobby of the San Luis Obipso County Government Center. The display included several of our 2008 4-H Young Achiever storyboards, as well as general information about 4-H in SLO county.
